We've always wanted to go to the State Fair in Dallas! But it seems every year there is something going on that prevents us from going. Well this year we made time, we spent Sunday, Monday and Tuesday of this week in Dallas. It was a good trip. I didn't get many picture that are truly "from my window", but I did get some of our time at the fair. I did all the things you should do at the fair... I ate a Fletcher's corn dog, I rode the Ferris wheel (alone I might add, because the husband was scared), and I had some cotton candy! I'm very glad we went, but in actuality, it wasn't what we thought it would be. We really thought there would be more craft type vendors, but it was more home and garden type stuff. I had more fun on the drive up Sunday. We did some antique shopping in Waxahachie. There are some really good stores there and they have a gorgeous town square!! We had a banana split and fresh squeezed lemonade at a local soda fountain shop. Here are a few picture from our road trip.

So our most recent road trip had us heading to Waco. I had planned this trip so I could go see Lisa Steele from Fresh Eggs Daily. I follow her on Facebook and she has a blog as well. She travels around to different Tractor Supply locations and educates people about backyard chicken flocks. Yes, I went to Waco to hear a chicken lady speak!
We also stopped in at Magnolia Market. It was a wonderful experience and I would recommend it to anyone going to Waco. We spent some time driving around Baylor University. The campus is very large and the buildings are all very majestic. Believe it or not I didn't get one picture of the majestic buildings... but I did get a picture of the Baylor Bear Stadium... It's a Texas thing!! =)
You want to go back with me and your sisters!?
